Privacy Policy

Dobby is Free is a browser extension designed exclusively to enhance the Torn City gameplay experience through interface improvements, statistics, shortcuts, organizational tools, market information, and other quality-of-life features.

Depending on which features you enable and use, Dobby is Free may process the following categories of information:

• Torn account identifiers such as player IDs and usernames.
• A Torn API key voluntarily provided by the user.
• Content displayed on Torn City pages that is necessary for enabled extension features, including item information, market listings, inventory information, player information, game statistics, and logs.
• Extension preferences, enabled features, UI settings, locally cached Torn-related information, and feature-specific settings.

If you provide a Torn API key, it is stored locally using Chrome extension storage and is used only to make requests required by enabled features to the official Torn API.

The API key is not intentionally transmitted to the developer or stored on a developer-controlled server. The key is sent to api.torn.com when required to complete Torn API requests.

Dobby is Free reads and modifies Torn City page content only when necessary to provide its user-facing features. This can include adding interface elements, reading item or player information already available to the user, organizing displayed data, and presenting additional Torn-related information.

The extension is not designed to monitor unrelated websites or general browsing activity.

Some features communicate with external services directly related to Torn City functionality:

• www.torn.comTorn City page functionality and game data available to the signed-in user.
• api.torn.comOfficial Torn API requests made for features that require Torn API data.
• wiki.torn.comTorn Wiki reference information used by Torn-related item and weapon features.
• weav3r.devMarketplace information used by supported price-checking functionality.

Dobby is Free does not sell user data and does not transfer user data for advertising, profiling, credit assessment, or purposes unrelated to the extension's Torn City functionality.

Extension preferences, enabled features, API configuration, cached Torn-related information, tracked entries, and other feature-specific settings may be stored locally in the user's browser using Chrome's extension storage.

This locally stored information remains on the user's device unless a feature explicitly requires a request to a Torn-related service described above.

Dobby is Free does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly. All executable extension code is included in the extension package distributed through the Chrome Web Store.

Remote responses such as JSON, HTML, or reference information are processed as data and are not executed as extension code.

Locally stored extension data generally remains in the user's browser until it is cleared through the extension or browser, removed by the user, or the extension is uninstalled.

Dobby is Free does not maintain a developer-operated user database for Torn API keys or extension usage profiles.

Dobby is Free does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not provide services independently of Torn City's own platform and account requirements.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when extension functionality, permissions, or data handling practices change. The updated date shown at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are made.
